Knauf Insulation has unveiled its latest innovation: R8.0 Ceiling Insulation Batts. Specifically engineered to comply with the new NCC 7 Star energy efficiency standards, these batts are designed to meet the rising demand for highly efficient insulation in Australian homes.
R8.0 Earthwool Batts are the thickest ceiling insulation batts available on the Australian market. Their added thickness allows them to extend over timber joists, effectively minimising thermal bridging and offering better performance than traditional double-layered systems.
Moreover, R8.0 Batts are quicker to install compared to the double-layer approach. Their greater thickness doesn’t complicate installation and removes the need for notching around joists.

OG Insulation Insulation Returns Policy
You may return unused insulation to OG Insulation, provided the following conditions are met:
- Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.
- Products must be in original packaging and in resalable condition. We do not accept returns on wet or damaged items.
- A restocking fee of 15% applies to glasswool, polyester, and rockwool insulation.
- Foam and rigid insulation products will incur a 30% restocking fee.
Important note:
- Custom-made items are not eligible for return or refund.
- Some suppliers restrict returns in specific states—check the product page for details.
