Knauf Earthwool R2.0 Acoustic Insulation
Acoustic insulation is specially designed to reduce outside noise entering the home. While commonly used in external walls, it’s also highly effective at limiting sound transfer between rooms and offices. Customers often choose our R2.0 thermal and acoustic insulation for two main reasons.
- They need an R-Value of 2.0, but are limited to a 70 or 75mm wall cavity (a standard R2.0 is typically 90mm thick.)
- The customer wants to limit the amount of noise transfer either from outside and into the home, or they simply want to lessen the noise transfer level within the home
Compression packaging reduces storage and transport costs
Knauf Earthwool Acoustic Wall Insulation is packed compressed to save storage space and reduce transportation costs. The wall batts come in durable white poly bags with easy-to-follow installation instructions. If you plan to install the acoustic insulation yourself, be sure to review Knauf’s DIY Safety Instructions and Precautions beforehand.
These insulation batts offer an affordable solution for both thermal insulation and soundproofing. Earthwool Insulation Batts are odorless, non-combustible, resistant to rot, moisture, pests, and do not promote the growth of fungi, mold, or bacteria.

OG Insulation Insulation Returns Policy
You may return unused insulation to OG Insulation, provided the following conditions are met:
- Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.
- Products must be in original packaging and in resalable condition. We do not accept returns on wet or damaged items.
- A restocking fee of 15% applies to glasswool, polyester, and rockwool insulation.
- Foam and rigid insulation products will incur a 30% restocking fee.
Important note:
- Custom-made items are not eligible for return or refund.
- Some suppliers restrict returns in specific states—check the product page for details.
