Installing Pink Soundbreak Acoustic Insulation batts in external walls and ceiling spaces helps reduce unwanted outside noise from entering the home. The higher the R-value, the more effective the insulation is at keeping your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. With a nominal density of 24–26 kg/m³, Soundbreak also delivers excellent thermal performance, improving energy efficiency and lowering utility costs.
Install Pink Soundbreak During Building Phase
The ideal time to upgrade your insulation is during the construction phase, as it’s often too late once the wall linings are installed. For improved acoustic comfort, consider adding Soundbreak acoustic batts to walls and ceilings of theatre rooms, between bedrooms, and around bathrooms, toilets, and laundries. We recommend installing the highest R-value your budget allows—at a minimum, use R2.0 batts between rooms and R2.7 in theatre rooms. Installing acoustic insulation beneath first-floor children’s bedrooms or play areas can also help create a quieter, more peaceful home environment.

OG Insulation Insulation Returns Policy
You may return unused insulation to OG Insulation, provided the following conditions are met:
- Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.
- Products must be in original packaging and in resalable condition. We do not accept returns on wet or damaged items.
- A restocking fee of 15% applies to glasswool, polyester, and rockwool insulation.
- Foam and rigid insulation products will incur a 30% restocking fee.
Important note:
- Custom-made items are not eligible for return or refund.
- Some suppliers restrict returns in specific states—check the product page for details.
