Acoustic R2.7 insulation for walls, ceilings and between floors
Pink Soundbreak Acoustic R2.7 insulation is specifically engineered to deliver outstanding soundproofing in residential buildings. Its high-density structure makes it an excellent choice for minimizing noise transfer between rooms and through floors, resulting in quieter and more comfortable living spaces.
When installed in external walls and ceiling cavities, Pink Soundbreak R2.7 also helps block external noise from entering the home. With a nominal density of 24–26 kg/m³, it not only offers superior acoustic performance but also contributes to thermal insulation—enhancing your home’s energy efficiency and helping reduce heating and cooling costs.
Available in thicknesses ranging from 60mm to 110mm, this ‘super high-density’ insulation is well-suited for internal walls around home theatres, media rooms, and bedrooms. It fits snugly into standard 90mm wall cavities and can also be used in ceilings—ideal for homes near busy roads or under flight paths.

The ideal time to upgrade insulation is during the construction phase of a new home, as it becomes much more difficult once plasterboard is in place. Pink Soundbreak insulation batts are highly recommended for installation in walls and ceilings of home theatres, between bedrooms, and around bathrooms, toilets, and laundries to help reduce noise transfer.
For optimal results, it’s best to choose the highest R-value insulation your budget allows. As a general guide, we recommend a minimum of R2.0 Acoustic Soundbreak between rooms and R2.7 for home theatres. Additionally, placing acoustic batts beneath first-floor bedrooms or play areas can significantly enhance the overall comfort and quietness of your home.

OG Insulation Insulation Returns Policy
You may return unused insulation to OG Insulation, provided the following conditions are met:
- Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.
- Products must be in original packaging and in resalable condition. We do not accept returns on wet or damaged items.
- A restocking fee of 15% applies to glasswool, polyester, and rockwool insulation.
- Foam and rigid insulation products will incur a 30% restocking fee.
Important note:
- Custom-made items are not eligible for return or refund.
- Some suppliers restrict returns in specific states—check the product page for details.
