Climate, along with the design and layout of your home, plays a key role in determining the most appropriate R-Value for your insulation. The R-Rating indicates thermal resistance—the higher the R-Value, the better the insulation performance. Bradford Gold Hi-Performance batts come in R-Values ranging from R5.0 to R7.0, offering top-tier thermal protection in Australia. However, that doesn’t automatically mean you should choose the highest R-Value available. Depending on your location, selecting the maximum R-Value may not be the most cost-effective option.
R-Value and the Law of Diminishing Returns
If you’re starting with an uninsulated ceiling, even adding a low R-Value product (like R3.0) will immediately improve energy efficiency and indoor comfort. Upgrading to something like R4.1 will offer further benefits, though the improvement may be less dramatic. OG Insulation Insulation Returns Policy
You may return unused insulation to OG Insulation, provided the following conditions are met:
- Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.
- Products must be in original packaging and in resalable condition. We do not accept returns on wet or damaged items.
- A restocking fee of 15% applies to glasswool, polyester, and rockwool insulation.
- Foam and rigid insulation products will incur a 30% restocking fee.
Important note:
- Custom-made items are not eligible for return or refund.
- Some suppliers restrict returns in specific states—check the product page for details.
