Reduce energy bills with polyester ceiling insulation
According to CSR Bradford, up to 42% of a home’s heat can escape through the ceiling during winter if it’s not insulated. In the hot summer months—December, January, and February—an uninsulated home can quickly become uncomfortably warm. To cope, many people rely heavily on air conditioning or fans, resulting in increased energy bills. With energy costs on the rise, this approach is becoming less sustainable for many Australian homeowners.
Topping up your roof
Over time, insulation can lose its effectiveness, meaning it may not perform as well as it did when first installed. You can learn more about this in our blog post on topping up insulation. When choosing insulation, the key factor to consider is the R-value—a higher R-value means better thermal performance. More and more DIY builders and renovators are choosing higher R-values for their walls and ceilings. Investing in Polymax Ceiling Insulation not only enhances comfort but can also deliver long-term savings on energy costs.
Polyester Insulation that is 100% reusable and soft to handle
Polymax Ceiling Insulation is made without added chemical or resin binders, and its production involves no water use or ozone-depleting gases. Designed to be soft and easy to handle, it offers a more comfortable installation experience compared to traditional glasswool insulation. Bradford Polymax is also 100% reusable, making it an environmentally friendly option. For optimal performance, Polymax batts should be installed snugly between timber joists, as even a 1cm gap can significantly reduce their effectiveness. The batts are available in 430mm and 580mm widths to suit 450mm and 600mm joist centres, and can be torn or cut to fit irregular spaces.
